G.W. Exotic Animal Park – Wynnewood, OK

Located just of I-35 at Exit 64, the G.W. Exotic Animal Memorial Park a 16-acre, non-profit park housing more than 1,000 exotic animals and other wildlife. Animals include more than 150 big cats including tigers, lions, panthers, leopards, and mountain lions. Other species include bears, bobcats, wolves, reptiles, exotic birds, camels and more. Most of these animals have been rescued from abuse or abandonment or re-homed due to the economy. Group tours and programs offered.

Following the death of their son who was killed by a drunk driver, Francis and Shirley Schreibvogle took their insurance money and started the park as a memorial to their son. Garold Wayne, their son, had loved animals and dreamed of going to Africa and seeing the animals in the wild.  As a memorial to him they take in abandoned, neglected or unwanted exotic animals to give them a good home.  The park has more than 108 living memorials, over 1000 animals from 128 species residing at the park.

The park has vets on call when needed and vet techs on site 24 hours a day.  The clinic on the grounds allow the animals to be treated right there instead of having to be hauled to a clinic which adds more stress to an already in need animal.
